What is Voki in Education?

• Voki is a free Web 2.0 tool that allows kids to create talking characters. The site features educational resources, including teacher-submitted lesson plans. Users can customize characters to resemble living people, animals and cartoons. Record voices via microphone or telephone, or upload them in an audio file.

• You can create the avatar. You can do that by recording it by phone, by microphone, or simply by choosing your character’s voice, language and genre among Voki’s options. When you type in a text, your character will say it according to the voice you gave him/her. Finally, you can add a background and change the colors of your character’s frame.
